The company, formerly known as Amcor PET Packaging, is engaged in the manufacture of PET perform and packaging products for the food, healthcare and other sectors. It was incorporated in November 1992 and has its head office located in Casarrubios del Monte, Spain. The company is a European leader in PET packaging integral solutions, with an installed capacity of approximately 2,100 million units of PET preform every year. Its Casarrubios del Monte plant includes seven production units set up by Artenius PET Packaging Europe (APPE), which has eight production plants and one for recycling PET around Europe and North Africa. Its PET perform production is divided into three segments: carbonated drinks and mineral water; specific drinks, which cover the packaging needs of juices, beers, liquor wines and other alcoholic drinks; and diversified products, which are focused on packs for food, preserves, mayonnaise and other sauces, and applications for medicine, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and household cleaning products. The company is a subsidiary of La Seda de Barcelona SA, a Spain-based manufacturer and marketer of fiber fabrics and plastics.
